God's Embrace, an organization dedicated to the formation and development of Christian Disciples, was incorporated as a Non-Profit Ecclesial Corporation on August 8, 2006. The mission of God's Embrace is to encourage development and preparation of Christian disciples to serve in their parish and diocesan Catholic communities.
I have found Michael Fonseca's series on spiritual growth to be an excellent tool for myself and those with whom I share spiritual direction and formation. Michael walks with the seeker each day as they enter more deeply into God's embrace. While it guides the believer, it also evangelizes him/her into the wonder of God's unconditional love. Michael provides a clear path to follow to meet the God who is calling them. i recommend it highly.
Rev. Fr. Joseph P. Graff;
Pastor, Holy Childhood of Jesus Parish, Diocese of Gaylord, MI
I was compelled by a few parishioners to simply visit one of Michael's classes. I attended one Tuesday evening and within minutes of listening to his presentation was struck by Michael's gift for making the great spiritual treasure of the Church accessible to 21st Century Christians. I also knew in my heart that God wanted me to experience the God's Embrace Program to deepen and enrich my relationship with the Holy Trinity.
Rev. Fr. Wayne N. Flagg;
Pastor, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Diocese of Victoria, TX
Having experienced first-hand the abundant fruits that the Holy Spirit brought to the Deacons, Deacon Candidates and Laity of the Diocese of Gaylord through the carious programs of Christian formation led by Dr. Michael Fonseca, I was thrilled to discover that the various components of his well-tested three-[phase] approach are now being made available to a wider audience. The user-friendly materials reflect Dr. Fonseca's extensive practical experience in initiating students into the interior life, introducing them to the treasures of our Catholic spiritual tradition and providing guidance and motivation for a sustained journey of faith. I am confident that these resources, firmly rooted in Sacred Scriptures and shaped by the insights of Ignatian spirituality, would be a helpful tool for any desiring to respond to Pope Francis' call to be "Missionary disciples" enlivened by the "joy of the Gospel."
Most Rev. Bernard A. Hebda;
Coadjutor Archbishop of Newark
When I was assigned to my new parish a few years ago I immediately had the sense that there was a deep knowledge and love of the scriptures present here. As time went on I began to understand that much of the thirst for God's Word sprang forth from Michael's understandable yet profound teaching as he guides the seeker into a deeper relationship with the Lord. God's Embrace has been well established here and it's effects are obvious and lasting.
Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak;
Pastor, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Diocese of Grand Rapids, MI
After speaking with Dr. Fonseca and learning more about the ministry, I am pleased to join Archbishop Bernard Hebda (Minneapolis, MN) and Bishop Steve Raica (Gaylord, MI) in offering my personal endorsement of God's Embrace Ministry. Like them, I too, have seen similar fruits here in the Diocese of Victoria. We are blessed to have at our disposal a program such as this, and I am certain that many will be led to the fullness of our faith and the reality of God's unconditional love for them through God's Embrace.
Most Rev. Brendan J. Cahill, S.T.D.
